Antonio Gramsci Prize for Critical Research in the Migration Society New

Dissertation prize of AK Wien in cooperation with Bielefeld University for theses examining migration-society conditions in the fields of employment, social inequality, education and/or subjectivity as relations of power and domination. Eligible: dissertations in German or English from a doctoral procedure completed no more than two years ago; one-time submission, selection by a jury of two AK Wien members and five university professors.

Maria Szécsi Fellowship New

Economics and neighbouring subjects: “master programmes abroad in economics, political economy or related social-science disciplines with an economic focus”; “applications for other master programmes are also possible” (close translation — the page is German only).

Up to four fellowships per year for one- or two-year master's programmes abroad in economics, political economy or related social-science disciplines with an economic focus. One-time 6,000 €: half on acceptance, half after presenting the master's thesis at AK Wien. Austrian citizenship not required; women, first-generation students and people with a migration background are especially encouraged. The application to the target university must already be filed at submission; studies already begun are not funded.
