The ASEAN-European Academic University Network supports the exchange of knowledge between partner universities in Europe and South East Asia. Its main activity is the organisation and financial support of transcontinental exchange of (prospective) scientists. It funds bilateral and multilateral projects in research, research-led teaching and the arts; projects run for up to 24 months and a single mobility lasts from a few days to 3 months. At least one ASEA-UNINET member university in Austria has to be the lead partner and one in the ASEAN country the cooperating partner.

Deadline: Closing date for applications: 1 per year (spring). Call 2026 closed on 23 April 2026; Call 2027 is expected to open in early February 2027 and to stay open until April 2027.
