Funding programme of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication: the AEJMC Senior Scholars Program awards up to two grants to senior scholars to fund innovative and timely research projects in journalism and mass communication. Per the call, funds may support research assistants, travel to research centers or relevant locations, or pay for supplies and services associated with the research; for at least one of the two awards, priority is given to a project that requires travel. Initial results are showcased at a special session of the AEJMC 2027 conference in Chicago.

Deadline: Per the page, accepting July 1 — October 1, 2026; deadline for submitting proposals is Oct. 1, 2026, 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Funding amount: $5,000 (up to two grants; plus $750 toward conference travel expenses)
Target group: AEJMC members; per the call, the program is looking for proposals from senior faculty members teaching full-time (preferably tenured). Members holding an endowed professorship or an endowed chair are not eligible to apply.
