Annual prize of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Labour for scientific works that serve to improve employees' working and living conditions. Two categories: dissertations and scientific articles (total prize money €9,000, split among up to 3 winners; open topic aligned with the Chamber's fields of interest) and master's/diploma theses (stipend up to €1,000 plus publication in WISO; fixed topic per cycle, currently "Energie der Zukunft"). Applications from habilitated professors are excluded.
Funding amount: 9.000 € gesamt (Dissertationen/Artikel); bis 1.000 € (Master/Diplom)
Target group: Authors of dissertations and published articles from Austrian universities and universities of applied sciences (foreign institutions if the work explicitly relates to Austria) plus master's/diploma theses; at least a master's degree
Deadline: Annual; currently: master's/diploma theses by 22 November 2026, dissertations/articles by 15 June 2027
